Mathspace Wins Two Awards and ISTE 2015
Thursday, July 23, 2015
At the ISTE Pitch Fest 2015 in Philadelphia, Mathspace won both awards for "Most Innovative" and "Most Likely to Succeed".
Finalists were chosen from over 100 applicants from every stage of development from all around the world. Mathspace faced 11 other finalists, was chosen as one of the Top 4 finalists, and walked away with both available ISTE Pitch Fest awards for 2015!
During the preliminary rounds, an audience vote at the end of each of 2 sessions determined the winners. The four companies competed for two titles, Most Innovative and Most Likely to Succeed, and a variety of prizes. Following the recent recognition by the American of American Publishers, which awarded Mathspace for best Mathematics Whole of Curriculum resource and the Golden Lamp Award for best overall Whole of Curriculum resource, and the BETT Award for best Secondary Digital Product in 2014, this continues the industry's recognition of Mathspace as a world-leading education product for students. We are proud of Mathspace for their ISTE Pitch Fest Awards and hope they will help spread Mathspace to more students and teachers.
Pitch Fest is an ISTE event in which up to 12 companies have five minutes to present a product idea supporting educational technology. They are then given three minutes to answer questions from the judges. The voting audience and judges determine the Pitch Fest finalists. In both the preliminary rounds and the final round, the judges' votes carry 60% of the weight, while the audience member votes carry the remaining weight.
